I was born and raised in Texas, but now I live in Washington State. I love where I live, but there isn’t anything like going back home.
First, my family is there. Seeing them always brings joy to my heart.
Second, our Texas friends always scream for joy when we come around. it is a great welcome every time.
Third, you can walk in any location in Texas and the people will talk to you and greet you with a smile. There is a reason it is known as “the friendly state.”
Fourth, watching the sun rise and set over a Texas sky. In my opinion, it is breathtaking and there is not a sight that equals it.
Fifth, the food! I have enjoyed a lot of Texas BBQ, Tex-Mex, Chicken Fried Steak and Blue Bell ice cream. I have to have these delectable items every trip.
It will be good to get back to Washington State, but a part of my heart will always be in Texas. It is always hard to say goodbye. So, I will say, “Saddle Up!”
