A Little Love to Share

About two years ago, I met a sweet lady on Facebook. I have learned a lot about her and the incredible ministry she does to help orphans in Jinja, Uganda. Her name is Racheal. At our first communication, she informed me, her husband and she had around twenty children they were caring for. Many were left in the streets by parents who abandoned them. Also, parents who died from AIDS or other illnesses and they were left alone. Racheal and her husband, Dominic, are renting a home and taking in these wonderful children. They love, nurture, provide medical care, educate, clothe, and feed them with their biological children. Tender Love Orphan Care (https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=OXJNeSTa6fA) have over thirty children now and want to help more…

They are not a US sponsored charity, at this time, and it costs $650.00 to become one. My friend, Yaelis, has on her heart to make t-shirts, cards, and other items to sell to raise the money. She contacted me and asked me to design a canvas so she can make the various items to sell. She wanted the Bible verse, that is put on my heart, to be prominently displayed throughout the design. I was honored to do it.

Here is the design I came up with:

I have always been a fan of African Batik art. This is based off of the fabric design idea. The highlights from the sun that are on the trees and elephant are where the verse is displayed. Here is what it says:

“For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me…” Matt. 25:35

If you would like to help this amazing ministry, by providing for their daily needs, we have set up a GoFundMe page for that purpose:

I hope you will consider sharing a little love with these children. I have received numerous videos, pictures, and messages from them. They have stolen my heart. They will steal yours as well. You’ll see! ❤️😊

Next up, a painting to spread Autism awareness. ❤️
