This frustrated me DEEPLY! What do you think about this?

Pastor Greenbean

I’m not a very happy father right now.  When I got home from work today I learned that my daughter’s campaign for school treasurer hit a snag.  Here is the problem.

She is running for treasurer, so she and her mother thought that her campaign should do something comical with money.  So, they went down to the dollar store and bought bags of fake money.  51315dc4c1bf11e2a25d22000a9e5e2e_7Then, right over the middle of phoney money where the president’s picture would be they taped candy to it.  On the back of the phoney money they would hand write–“Vote for Phoebe for  Treasurer.”  Today and tomorrow she planned to hand them out to the students in the hallways and in class.1fe9d6ecc1bf11e2851d22000a1fb71f_7

She came home from school visibly upset because she was told that her campaign was inappropriate.  Wait for it, wait for it . . . you would think that they objected to the…

The Backpack Strikes Back!!

As summer is about to begin and the last of the field trips are completing, I am leaving you with one last post until summer is over. This was written last year about an end of year field trip with my youngest daughter. Have a great summer and I will return with the year 1982! Rock On! =D

I have decided that my field trip days are over! Both of my girls are old enough now, they should be able to go on school trips without their mama. My last adventure, with my youngest, was to a baseball game. I was to chaperone 3 VERY active girls. For the trip, my hiker’s backpack was filled with blankets, band-aids, TYLENOL, lunches… You name it, it was probably in there.

We got to the ballpark and were ready to find our seats. Little did I know, the pack was going to hog up a lot of room! We found our seats in the nosebleed section and I had to sit with it between my legs. Passage would not be easy…

My pack nearly wiped out an entire family wanting escape to find food! The dad knocked my drink over and lemonade went everywhere. The mom and daughter held onto me, for dear life, as they hopped over the monstrosity! I felt so bad… Finally, I decided to stuff it under the seat. It took a while and A LOT of effort, but success was achieved!

The ginormous pack targeted a few people as my group walked through the stadium. Needless to say, I was not very popular with the crowd and totally understood. Unfortunately, I could not do a thing about it. I tried to be mindful of my surroundings, but when there is a big crowd and you are crammed together like sardines, it is hard to do…

This is a field trip that will not be quickly forgotten. We had a good time, but that pack was a nightmare. I need to remember not to bring all that junk! Anything you need is there at the ballpark. It may be ridiculously priced, but that is better than causing devastation at
every turn! Hindsight is always 20/20, but at least I can chuckle at
my stupidity!

(sung to the tune of “Take Me Out To The Ball Game”)
Take me out to the ball game
So I can knock out the crowd;
Don’t get too close or I’ll smack you
Though, I really didn’t mean to.
Let me hope, hope, hope, I don’t injure you,
If I do, it’s a shame.
For it’s one, two, three strikes, you’re out,
At the old ball game. =D

This was amazing and I thought I would share. Enjoy! =)

As we end the year, I am re-posting my top five viewed blogs.  After that five, then I will re-post my top five favorites from the past year.  We begin with familiar territory by boldly going where we’ve gone before, a blog originally titled Some Star Trek Philosophy.  For the record, I got new Star Trek gear this Christmas too, the complete series Voyager.  Awesomeness.  Enjoy.

For Christmas my wonderful wife gave me every second of every Star Trek original series, movie, and Star Trek: The Next Generation series on DVD.  It was a truly beautiful gift.  Since then, we have cobbled together enough time to watch all of the original series and the original six “Captain Kirk” films.  It is all a part of my plan to assimilate my daughters into the nerd collective.

As I watched the original six films again—starting with the Motion…

Having Fun on Facebook!

There have been a lot of ridiculous games that come through on Facebook, but the most recent gag had me in stitches. If you haven’t tried it yet, it is a RIOT! Here is the message that was sent to me on FB:

It’s that time of year again in support of Breast Cancer Awareness! We all remember last years game of writing your bra color as your status? or the way we like to have our handbag handy?

Remember last year so many people took part that it made national news and the constant updating of status reminded everyone why we’re doing this and helped raise awareness!

DO NOT tell any males what the status’ mean, keep them guessing And please Broadcast this to all ur female friends to see if we can make a bigger fuss this year than last year ;);)

I did my part… So now its YOUR turn!

The idea is to choose the month You were born and the day you were born. Pass this on to the girls only and lets see how far it reaches around. The last one about the bra went round the world.

So you’ll write… I’m (your birth month) weeks and I’m craving (your birth date) !!! as your status :p:p

Example: Feb 14th= I’m 2 weeks and craving Choclolate mints!! ;);)

Days of the month:

1- Skittles
2- Starburst
3- Kit-Kat
4- M&M’s
5- Tomatoes
6- Ice Cream
7- Dairy Milk
8- Lollipop
9- Peanut Butter Cups
10- Meat Balls
11- Twizzlers
12- Bubble Gum
13- Hershey’s Kisses
14- Chocolate Mints
15- Twix
16- Cheese
17- Fudge
18- Cherry Jello
19- Banana’s
20- Pickels
21- Chicken Wings
22- Skittles
23- Gummy Bears
24- Gummy Worms
25- Strawberry Pop Tarts
26- Starburst
27- Mini Eggs
28- Kit-Kat Chunkie
29- Double Chocolate Chip Chrunchy Cookies
30- Smarties

Here was what my status looked like when I posted this FUN game:
